A: You can use the EmbCard in Brother plus compatible embroidery machines and also in selected Viking/Husqvarna embroidery machines. You find a list of supported machines here.

A: You can use the EmbCard in PES2Card reader/writers, PE-Design and compatible reader/writers, PED basic and compatible writers, the Magic Box and compatible reader/writers, Ultimate box and compatible reader/writers, Multi-Converter. You find a full list of supported writers here.

A: No, the PE Design/Palette version 4 card reader/writer cannot write to the EmbCard.
 
Q: Can I write to the EmbCard in a Viking/Husqvarna Embroidery Card Reader/Writer?
A: No, the Viking/Husqvarna Embroidery Card Reader/Writer cannot write to the EmbCard.
 
Q: How many designs can I store on an EmbCard?
A: The number of designs you can store on an EmbCard is primarily dependent on the number of stitches in the designs. For Brother and compatible machines, the number of stitches is approximately 450.000. For Viking/Husqvarna machines, the number of stitches is approximately 260.000. The Magic Box and compatible reader/writers have a limitation of 6 designs per card.
 
Q: What are the functional differences between the EmbCard and a Brother blank card?
A: The EmbCard can hold more than twice the number of stitches than the largest Brother blank card.
The EmbCard can also be used in the Magic Box and compatible reader/writers

A: The EmbCard can hold more than twice the number of stitches than the Magic Box blank card.

A: The EmbCard can be used in all devices any of the two Utlimate cards can be used in. One card for all possible devices. You always have the right card.

A: The design formats you can write to the EmbCard are determined by the software that comes with your reader/writer.

A: No, when you use the EmbCard in an Magic Box or compatible reader/writer, the restrictions imposed by the Magic Box and its driving software remain.
 
Q: Can I use the full capacity of the EmbCard in PE Design/Palette?
A: Yes, PE Design/Palette 5,6,7,8,9 use the full 1 Megabyte to store your designs.
 
Q: Why can I not write the EmbCard in PE Design/Palette/Deco Wizard 1,2,3?
A: PE Design/Palette/Deco Wizard 1,2,3 require a 12V card.
 
Q: Why can I not write the EmbCard in PE Design/Palette 4?
A: PE Design/Palette 4 requires a specific, different chip on the card.
 
Q: Why can I not write the EmbCard in Viking Embroidery Card Reader/Writer?
A: The Viking Embroidery Card Reader/Writer requires a 12V card.
